About Us
A Family Business
Yukon Authentic Ltd. is a small, family-owned business situated near the Yukon River at Dawson City. Our family of five lives a lifestyle of
subsistence hunting and fishing, some trapping in winter, growing food throughout the summer, harvesting trees in the fall, and building log cabins from time to time.
Around three months a year we are separated from civilisation due to an uncrossable Yukon River. Only to be reached by helicopter.
Those are the silent times where we enjoy our being-together as a family, maintaining our gear, studying and playing in the quiet remoteness of our wild home.
In the warmer months, when the river becomes our prefered way of travel, we share our local knowledge and experience, guiding
tours with passion and expertise, for those having an interest in the northern wilderness and culture.
Safety Training
Our guides receive specific training in water rescue and First Aid. They are licensed for Wilderness First Aid, Swift Water Rescue and other marine related safety certificates. We do scheduled drills to keep our skills at top level and available no matter how stressful an emergency.
